Toyota has given its range-topping LandCruiser 200 Series Sahara a tweak and announced that just 400 examples of the resulting 2021 Horizon special edition will be available from March.
Design modifications include a unique design grille with a dark finish, black headlight surrounds, and smoked chrome foglight surrounds. At the rear is a “Horizon” badge.
Inside, there are premium black semi-aniline leather-accented seats with unique stitching and ‘LandCruiser’ embossed into the backrest.
Additional features include a heated black leather-accented steering wheel, black interior trim and headliner with chrome accents, and premium stitching in the leather-accented door trims. A further special touch is the LandCruiser logo illuminated in the front and rear puddle lamps.
The new Horizon special edition is powered by LandCruiser’s 200kW/650Nm 4.5-litre V8 twin-turbo diesel engine that drives through a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift function.
A full-time four-wheel drive system with a full set of low-range ratios and Multi-Terrain Select offers proper off-road capability, and there is fully independent suspension.
In addition to the styling enhancements, the LC200 Sahara Horizon is equipped with power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, four-zone climate control, smart entry and start, multi-terrain monitor, premium audio system with a 9-inch touchscreen display, rear seat DVD player and satellite navigation.
A comprehensive suite of Toyota Safety Sense features includes a pre-collision safety system with pedestrian detection, active cruise control, automatic high beam, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Toyota LandCruiser Sahara Horizon special edition is priced from $131,896.
