Falken chosen for new Nissan Rogue Sport

Sumitomo is to begin supplying the high-performance Falken Sincera SN250A A/S SUV tyres to Nissan for use as factory-standard tyres on the new model Rogue Sport Compact Crossover SUV, which went on sale in the U.S. at the beginning of the year.

The Rogue Sport is a variant of Nissan’s best-selling Rogue and is powered by a 2-litre DOHC 16-valve, 4-cylinder engine producing 141hp.

Chock full of ‘connected’ technology, features include smartphone integration, a 7-inch colour touch-screen display, Nissan Voice Recognition for navigation and audio, SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link. Also available is Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD) and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC).

Rogue Sport also offers an extensive list of advanced Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield technologies. The list includes radar-based Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP).

Three models of the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport are to be offered – S, SV and SL, each in a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
