Sears Auto Centers has announced it is working with Amazon.com to provide full-service tyre installation and balancing for customers who purchase any brand of tyres on Amazon.com. The service will be rolling out to customers across the U.S. over the coming weeks.
With this collaboration, Sears Auto says it will become the first nationwide auto service centre in the U.S. to offer Amazon.com customers the Ship-to-Store tyre solution integrated into the Amazon.com checkout process. Amazon customers select their tyres, the Sears Auto location and their preferred date and time for the tyre installation. Sears Auto Centers then contacts them to confirm their appointment.
The new Ship-to-Store capability will be initially available at 47 Sears Auto Centers in eight metropolitan areas: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Following the initial launch, Sears Auto Centers will expand this service to Amazon.com customers through its national network.
Sears Auto Center, a provider of automotive maintenance and repair services and parts, has more than 400 locations across the U.S. offering a full array of passenger, performance and light truck tyres, including Michelin, Goodyear, Hankook, Kumho and DieHard; DieHard batteries, Craftsman auto accessories and more. The company is part of the Sears Holdings business, which counts the Sears retail giant and Kmart (in the U.S.) amongst its brands.
